Learning to Live as Sober Adults

Building Responsibility, Stability, and Self-Sufficiency

Learning to Live as Sober Adults

Life at Still Worthy is centered around action and accountability. Our residents don't just stay sober; they grow. Through dedicated employment assistance and a focus on daily life skills, we provide the "landing space" you need to transition from treatment or incarceration back into the workforce. Here, you'll find the tools to manage your own life, career, and future with confidence.

Finding Your Footing on Johns Island.

More Than Just a House

Located just ten minutes from downtown Charleston, our three residential houses provide a serene environment for men and women to practice sober living in real-time. Resident life is defined by a "landing space" philosophy: we meet you exactly where you are—whether you are coming from a treatment center or being released from the state justice system—and provide the communal structure needed to thrive as a sober adult.

The background shows the blurred silhouettes of other participants, suggesting a support group, communal prayer, or a moment of shared solidarity. The lighting is soft, creating a somber yet hopeful mood of connection and unity.

Sober Adult Skills

Recovery is about learning how to handle life's responsibilities. Our program emphasizes the development of "sober adult" skills, including financial management, personal accountability, and maintaining a healthy schedule. We help you move from being a "resident" to a leader in your own life.

Sustainable Employment

Employment is a vital pillar of Phase 2 and 3. We assist residents in finding and keeping local jobs that align with their recovery curriculum. This balance fosters financial independence and lasting sobriety, ensuring you have a career path to follow long after you leave our doors.

He is the central focus, looking slightly to the side with an earnest expression, hands crossed over his chest. He is framed by the out-of-focus shoulders of two other individuals in the foreground, suggesting a support group, counseling session, or intimate conversation. The lighting is dramatic, coming from a side window, creating deep shadows and bright highlights. The overall mood is solemn, emotional, and reflective.
